W. KORDES' SÖHNE is one of the leading breeders and producers of rose plants for garden roses and cut roses in the world. Over 20 years ago KORDES stopped the use of fungicides on their trial grounds, where new breedings were evaluated years before their introduction on the market. This meant it was possible to accurately assess and select the truly healthy varieties amongst the thousands of seedlings on trial. This new breeding philosophy has been noticeable to all rose lovers around the world. The KORDES company alone has withdrawn more than 100 older varieties from their assortment which, to their opinion, are not competitive any longer. This has made way for new, better and healthier varieties.
If you are in search of roses that are beautiful, disease tolerant and easy to care for, look no further then Kordes' bred roses.
The 'Climbing Max®' series by award winning and leading rose breeder W. Kordes' Sohne of Germany, is a collection of the most beautiful and healthiest climbing varieties. Any variety carrying the 'Climbing Max' badge will not disappoint.
Resulting from a change during Kordes breeding program over 20 years ago, where they moved away from pesticide and fungicide usage. Only the strongest most vigorous and floriferous specimens emerge, to then be selected from as release candidates for the rest of us to enjoy in our gardens.
Kordes climbing varieties can go through a testing period of 10 to 12 years before being introduced into the market, with Treloar Roses trialling each one further still under Australian conditions.
