Proliferation

Proliferation is when the flower bud starts to grow one or more buds in or around an already open bloom before it has finished a forming the flower. It can be caused by UV damage to the DNA of the flower.

There are a few varieties that are bred to produce this affect as a novelty but generally it is not present in roses under normal circumstances.

Treatment

Cut off the affected blooms and the next flush will be clean. If the problem persists then please contact us.

Important: signs and symptoms will vary significantly between varieties, even within similar categories. The information provided here is a basic summery of the most common affects and will not always be applicable to all rose varieties.
