Orders Containing Bare Rooted Roses - Australia Wide

Bare rooted roses are supplied during Winter only (June to the 31st August).

Packaging Information:

You will receive an email when we begin packaging your order - no alterations can be made to the order beyond this point.
Bare rooted roses travel extremely well and are supplied directly from us throughout Australia. Plants are suitably wrapped and sealed in a cardboard carton. Bare rooted roses are bundled per order and included in one parcel, therefore you will receive one parcel per order. They remain fresh during transit for at least 2 weeks. When plants arrive, undo the parcel carefully and soak the roses overnight in water. Do not allow the roots to dry out.


Delivery and Tracking:

Bare rooted rose orders are delivered by either Australia Post or Star Track Express, depending on what the order contains. All deliveries containing bare rooted roses are trackable. You will receive an email on despatch containing your tracking code and details on how to track the consignment. Please ensure you provide your correct email address to receive this service.

Regardless of your delivery options, both Australia Post and StarTrack will first attempt to collect a signature from you at the time of delivery.

If you are not present at the delivery address at the time they attempt delivery, the following will happen depending on the options you select at the time of placing your order:
For deliveries with Australia Post (order containing bush roses only) - please note that if no option is selected Authority To Leave is the default
  1. Authority To Leave is selected: if you are not home, the parcel will be left and a picture proof of delivery (POD) captured if there is a safe place to leave the parcel. Parcels will only be left at the front of the property in a place that is not visible from the street and is out of the weather. If there is no safe place, the driver will leave a notification card and the parcel will be taken to a nearby Post Office.
  2. Signature Required is selected: if you are not home, a notification card will be left and the parcel will be taken to a nearby Post Office.
For deliveries with StarTrack (order containing standard roses) - please note that if no option is selected Signature Required is the default.
  1. Authority To Leave is selected: if you are not home, the parcel will be left if there is a safe place to leave the parcel. Parcels will only be left at the front of the property in a place that is not visible from the street and is out of the weather. If there is no safe place, the driver will leave a notification card and the parcel will be taken to a nearby depot. You then will be required to re-arrange delivery by following the instructions on the card.
  2. Signature Required is selected: If no one is there to receive delivery, a card will be left and the order will be taken back to the delivery depot. You will be required to re-arrange delivery by following the instructions on the card. To avoid delay in receiving your roses we highly suggest you select the Authority To Leave option. If your delivery address does not have a safe place at the front of the property where large parcels can be left, consider having the order delivered to a business or work address that receives deliveries.

Locations that are generally NOT suitable to leave a parcel include: addresses where there is high foot traffic, addresses where the property is close to the street, apartments that are not accessible for delivery, apartment mail rooms where no one is in attendance and locations where there is no protection from weather or pets.


Interstate Shipments:

Treloar Roses are accredited to ship to all states and territories of Australia and meet all interstate quarantine restrictions and procedures for the movement of plant material.  All conditions and protocols are complied with, which is verified by annual audits conducted by the Department of Primary Industries - Plant Standards.


Freight Costs:

ORDERS OVER $500 will be packed and shipped for FREE! Anywhere in Australia. All varieties and types!

W.A. CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE:

From the 1st July 2013 the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAF) introduced a quarantine inspection charge for all consignments containing plant material. To minimize the impact of these fees Treloar Roses have entered a chargeback arrangement with DAF. All consignments containing roses will now incur a $16.50 surcharge. This is in addition to freight charges.


Collecting Orders From Our Nursery:

If you would prefer to collect your order direct from our nursery in Portland, Victoria, please indicate this at the time of ordering. Bare rooted roses are available for collection from June to the end of August, however supply times will vary depending on what your order contains. Please phone at least 24 hours before collecting your order to ensure your plants are ready and to allow time for packaging. 


Orders Containing a Potted Rose

Potted roses are supplied from mid-spring to mid December.


Freight Cost:

Freight charges for potted roses will vary depending on the delivery address as well as quantity of roses and are charged at cost. For an estimated freight cost add your potted roses to your shopping cart, select 'View Cart' and enter your details into 'Estimated Shipping'.


Despatch and Tracking:

Interstate Shipments:

Delivery of our potted roses can only occur in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Queensland. We are not accredited to ship potted roses to Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.


Delivery Period:

Every care is taken to ensure that potted roses are despatch according to the delivery period selected at the time of placing the order. However, in the event of a hot weather period, despatching of potted roses may be delayed until conditions improve. This is to avoid damage to plants during transit.


 

Orders Containing Garden Products or Books

Orders containing ONLY Garden Products or Books are delivered year round thoughout Australia by Australia Post. Orders will be packaged and despatched within a few working days once payment is received.


Despatch and Tracking:

All orders containing only garden products or books will be delivered with Australia Post and are trackable. If you do not receive a tracking email from Australia Post and require the tracking number, please contact us.

Products included in orders containing roses will be despatched with the plants at no additional freight cost - shipping cost still applies for the delivery of the plants.
